The new ZRX1200 DAEG, Kawasaki’s flagship model is designed exclusively for terrain road condition that ranges from winding country roads to urban streets.
The fuel injection motorcycle comes along with porting and valve work in the engine department, a new exhaust system and a six-speed transmission. New brakes consist of Tokico four-piston calipers squeezing a pair of petal-shaped front rotors measuring 310mm and a single piston/250mm rotor combo in back.
In addition to its unique styling, horsepower separates the ZRX1200 Daeg from other standards, thanks to an engine tuned with emphasis on low-and mid-range rpm performance. The ZRX1200Daeg engine features electroplated cylinders, which transfer heat much quicker than steel, allowing tighter tolerances to be utilized to generate more power. Pistons with concave domes are found in the lightweight, all-aluminum cylinder block. This translates to a user-friendly street personality and amazing roll-on performance on the highway.
Steering geometry has been changed, and suspension settings are revised for both the front and rear. The rear shocks with two-stage springs are new, and are mounted at a different angle. The swingarm although looks similar to the one found on the old model, it is new.
Bodywork has been changed slightly (apparent to the discerning eye), and the instruments are new.
